Hello! My name is Audra Hilger. I have a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and Development from the University of Mary, located in Bismarck, North Dakota.
My time at the University has given me many opportunities to explore what age ranges I work with best, and I have found that I am the most passionate about working with infants and toddlers. My primary focus is on the first three years of development, because I have seen how influential that time can be for learners. I didn't feel called to the teaching profession until after I had been in college for a semester. After discovering the world of early childhood, I immediately fell in love. It is now one of my life goals to spread awareness of the importance of early intervention and early childhood education to the general public. One of my career goals is to eventually work in an early intervention setting. I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma and I am the second oldest of eight children. I was homeschooled my entire life and helped to homeschool my younger siblings as well. I am also married and have known my husband since we were both ten years old. He is my biggest supporter in everything I do. I am an avid reader, writer, and musician. My favorite author is Charles Dickens, and my proudest accomplishment is that I have written and published my own music under my maiden name Tulipana. |
